Harissa - roasted red peppers paste with spices & herbs
(this time we've made it with some Macedonian peppers)
Kraut or Sauerkraut - fermented, thinly sliced, cabbage leaves.
Tommy mustard - Swiss brand that was produced in ex-Yugoslavia.
It marked our childhood together with Tommy Mayo.
Cevapi or cevapcici - mince meat patties/sausages;
think of a kofta, but more of a burger flavour; addictive; kids just love them;
Ajvar - slow roasted red pepper relish, hot or mild.
Kajmak - similar to clotted cream or curd, salty and delicious.
Magdanos Sauce - parsley sauce similar to chimichurri. Think lots of garlic, olive oil & sherry vinegar.
